It’s been two weeks now since I’ve been doing the Plank challenge to improve my core strength. The plank is great for not only your abs, but also your lower back. And both of these I need strong for my goals this year of completing a marathon in October. The body is quite amazing how it adapts, I was really worried that I wouldn’t improve much and I’d have nothing to show you. However, from the start I’ve improved by 28 seconds.
I’ve been doing a plank most days, as well as 2-3 sets of sit ups maximum – some days less, some more.
I have to admit, if I wasn’t doing this challenge, I think I would have slacked off with my planks. If getting fitter or stronger is a goal for you, I’d highly reccomend taking part in a challenge – with yourself, or with friends to help keep yourself motivated and on track.
