The Happiness Project is a blog and now a book that accounts the year Gretchen Rubin spent test-driving studies and theories about how to be happier.

Here are some of the happiness boosters she mentions at the end of the article that resonated with me.
[typography font=”Lobster” size=”24″ size_format=”px” color=”#b3e2eb “]1. [/typography] Be yourself. If you are not living according to your valuces, you aren’t going to be truely happy.
[typography font=”Lobster” size=”24″ size_format=”px” color=”#b3e2eb “]2. [/typography] One of the best ways to make yourself happy is to make other people happy
[typography font=”Lobster” size=”24″ size_format=”px” color=”#b3e2eb “]3.[/typography] Anything worth doing is worth doing badly – people who try new things are happier than people who stick to activities they have already mastered.
[typography font=”Lobster” size=”24″ size_format=”px” color=”#b3e2eb “]4.[/typography] Be a tourist in your own city. Experience the best of your home town and really appreciate it.
[typography font=”Lobster” size=”24″ size_format=”px” color=”#b3e2eb “]5.[/typography] Get enough sleep and enough food. Skimping on these leads to crankiness.
[typography font=”Lobster” size=”24″ size_format=”px” color=”#b3e2eb “]6.[/typography] Punching pillows and slamming doors is not cathartic – it feeds anger. Try to deal with tense situations calmly and quietly, and the anger will dissipate faster.
