There’s nothing like a fresh fruit smoothie to boost energy levels and get your daily fruit fix. Our feijoa tree has been bursting full of big juciy feijoas so I thought I’d give an autumn smoothie a go. The combination of feijoa with a hint of pear and creamy greek yoghurt is really quite delicious. Nutrition wise, feijoas and pear will give you a hit of Vitamin C plus fibre as well as valuable antioxidants. Enjoy while feijoa season lasts.
For one serve:
- Flesh of 4 – 5 large feijoas
- 1/2 a small pear, peeled and sliced into pieces
- 3 tablespoons greek yoghurt
Blend all ingredients together until smooth and creamy. Add a dash of honey to taste if desired. Drink and enjoy!
