This year is an exciting one for me as I’m getting married in March! I wanted to share with you today a little wedding invitation secret about where to get fabulous designer invitations at a great price – a fabulous website called Minted. When they asked if I’d be keen to review their site, I was more than happy to as I’m in love with the invites I chose from Minted.
Minted is an online stationery store powered by a global community of designers, so you get the best designers all in one place and can order simply at a click of the button. It’s a great way to support independent designers, who get commission on every order. They have new designs added regularly and their 2014 save the date cards and invites are just gorgeous. I chose the Woodland intials wedding invites (above) but instead of the wood background, I got a charcoal grey which looked amazing. I’ve had lots of comments about how nice the invites were. They were also a really reasonable price.
Ordering from Minted is super easy too, you enter your text, get a proof within 24 hours and after you confirm your order, they are shipped quickly – I think mine arrived within 5 days of ordering.
Minted has a fabulous range of other products too – from other invitations, to art prints. There’s NZ designers at Minted too – see here. When your big day comes around, I highly recommend checking out Minted for your wedding stationary.
Wedding Workouts:
On the subject of weddings, I thought I’d share my wedding workouts. Every bride wants to look her best, and whilst I’m not worried about weight, I do want to look toned in my strapless dress.
I’ve been doing Cross Fit 2-3 times a week which is an amazing all over workout. Cross fit usually consists of lots of press ups, ring pull ups, burbees and push presses among other things which are great upper body workouts. If I don’t go to Cross Fit 3 times a week, I also do some weights at home – shoulder press, biceps curls, press ups and tricep dips. Or I’ll do a Nike Training Club workout specific for arms. I also try and do a couple of runs a week, because I love running and it’s great stress relief. I also find I sleep better if I’ve had a good long, hard run.
I love Crossfit as there’s no way I push myself as hard if I work out at home. I don’t enjoy gyms either. I used to love the gym and go 5 days a week, but when I moved back from Australia to NZ, I fell out of love for some weird reason. I think it was because I started running outdoors and loved it so much more than the machines at the gym. Plus I was never good at doing weights at the gym – I’d walk in and think right, I’m going to do my program, and get half way through and get bored and go home!
I’ve definitely noticed a difference in my strength and tone in my muscles over the past few months of doing more regular Crossfit. If you haven’t tried it, give it a go – it’s kind of addictive! I’ve written a bit more about it here.
What’s your favourite workout?
Love your invite selection from Minted! 🙂 I hope you share a little more about your wedding some time (I’m a wedding photographer and wedding/event nerd so I love hearing all about stuff like this! Hehehe).
Beautiful invites!
I love working out at the gym and pretty much only ever do weights, I detest cardio at the gym! I play netball and run (training for my first half marathon at the moment) outside for my cardio.
