Being an active person, I’m always on the look out for ways to keep my skin clear and blemish free. Biking to work and working out at lunch time means my skin can get greasy and prone to breakouts around the hair line, especially since I don’t always have a lot of time to spend on a full on skin care routine at these times. The good news is it’s not hard to keep your skin in great condition when you’re active and short on time.
Here’s some tips to help keep your skin clear and glowing:
1. Wear a headband.
This simple tip can make a big difference in helping to keep your skin fresh. Keeping your hair out of your face helps minimise oil transfer from your hair to your skin which can clog pores and lead to pimples. A headband can also help absorb sweat, meaning less sweat on your face. Just be sure to wash it after each workout.
2. Try the new Simple Micellar Water
Simple Micellar Water is a new product that is fantastic for busy, active women. It’s really convenient when you’re on the go as there’s no need to rinse the product off. You simply wipe your skin with the micellar water on cotton pads to effectively remove make up and cleanse your skin of oil and dirt. Perfect for when you’re in a hurry and need to quickly refresh as well as for those times when you don’t have access to a bathroom. Sometimes if I’m in a rush after my lunch time workout and I haven’t had a sweaty workout, I skip a shower and a product like this is a lifesaver to cleanse my skin.
This product is super gentle and contains no harsh chemicals, perfume or colours that can upset your skin. It’s made with triple purified water and contains vitamin C and vitamins B3 and B5 to help nourish skin. It’s great for all skin types, and in particular, its gentle formula caters for sensitive skin.

Another hint – remove your makeup with this product before you work out, your skin will breathe better and it will help you avoid getting blocked pores.
3. Use BB cream or colour tinted moisturiser as your post workout makeup.
No time to apply makeup after working out at lunch, or before work? Keep things simple by using a multipurpose product such as BB cream or a colour tinted moisturiser. After a 30 minute workout lunch time workout and eating, make up is the lowest priority in my lunch break! I keep a BB cream at work and apply this as well as a simple swipe of mascara on my eye lashes and some lip gloss and that’s it. Done in literally a couple of minutes.
