I wanted to share with you a few of my favourite things this week and was planning on doing it yesterday – Friday favourites just sounds so much better than Saturday Favourites right? Anyway, I was feeling crappy (I’ve STILL got a cold 2 weeks on…) and went to bed super early – but here they are just a wee bit later than planned.
1. Pitango Free Range Chicken and Vegetable Soup
I love the Pitango range of soups, risottos and curries – a good healthy option for when you’re not in the mood for cooking. So I was excited when I saw this in my email – a new Pitango soup – Free Range Chicken and Vegetable. Yum. Perfect for me and my cold. And at just $6.49 for two serves it makes a cheap lunch or dinner.
2. Baked Banana Parcels
When I saw these I thought, now why didn’t I think of that?! Banana, cinnamon, chocolate and nuts – amazing. A yummy healthy-ish sweet treat. Recipe here
3. Our wedding photos!
My fiancée and I tied the knot on the 29th March (after being together for 12 years – good things take time lol). We had such an amazing day with friends and family. The weather was perfect (phew since we had a garden wedding), the band sounded amazing, the food was delicious and our guests (and us!) had heaps of fun in our own home made photo booth. We got our photos back recently and it was so neat to look through them all. We had fabulous photographers – Benjamin and Elise from Wellington who captured the day perfectly. The photos give a lovely story of the day from start to finish and we’ll treasure them forever. This is one of my favourites.
And just one more photo… I love this photo of my dad walking me up the isle. He’s notorious for being rather serious and not smiling in photos so I love the fact he’s smiling and looking so natural too.
4. Nike sports shoes
Nike seem to always come up with the best looking sports shoes. Luckily they’re also high quality, comfortable and up with the latest shoe technology. I love the colour combination of these Nike Air Pegasus shoes from Nordstrom – only $125. These are currently on my wish list, but I’m trying hard to save not spend…
5. Words of Wisdom from Stephen Covey
There’s lots of words of wisdom in here from the author of “7 Habits of Highly Successful People”. I especially like number 4 as procrastination is a terrible flaw of mine (hmm maybe that’s why Friday favourites is being published on Saturday). I’m printing this out and sticking it on my noticeboard at work.
Have you found anything cool this week? Let me know in the comments below.
Caitlin
I love Pitango soups too. The ingredient list’s are pretty impressive too. I was so happy to see these in the supermarket near me! On another note, I am loving your wedding photographs, I just recently stumbled upon Benjamin and Elise Photography’s Facebook page and thought their pictures were just beautiful. Congratulations again :’)
Nicola
Thanks Caitlin 🙂 Benjamin and Elise are a talented duo!
